News – 20th Congress of the International Society for Animal Hygiene

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends of ISAH,

we would like to advertise to the 20^th Congress of the International Society for Animal Hygiene - ISAH 2022 on 5 – 7 October 2022 in Berlin.

Due to the worldwide still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the related major uncertainties in the planning and realization of international scientific conferences, it was necessary to postpone the ISAH Congress planned for October 2022 in Pattaya, Thailand to 2024. Instead, as the situation and travel rules in Europe assumingly will allow, the 20^th ISAH Congress with important and actual scientific topics will take place in a Hybrid format in Berlin.

Certificates of attendance will be gladly issued (ATF-certificate, 16 h requested).

ISAH 2022 is dedicated to globally important topics in animal hygiene as well as animal welfare and environmental protection such as: 

• Infectious diseases (including COVID-19) and AMR in the One Health context
• Pig production: infectious diseases (e.g. ASF) and disease-preventing measures.
• Poultry production: infectious and non-infectious issues, novel technologies.
• Animal welfare - recent developments
• Farming systems with outdoor access - welfare and biosecurity
• Effluents/emissions from livestock and sustainable animal production
• Free topics

For these topics, we have been able to attract internationally leading experts as keynote speakers.

The Call for Papers is now open until 31 March 2022 (Link). Abstracts and/or full-length papers of orals and posters will be published as Congress Proceedings.

Led by the mission of ISAH to promote animal health, food safety and sustainable animal production in developing countries, we would like to offer online participation free of charge for participants from developing countries (list of countries). Furthermore, the Prof. Tielen Foundation (PTF) will enable about 5- 10 applicants from developing countries to attend the ISAH Congress.
